Volunteers needed for Handy Fest
Henderson’s signature music festival could use some helping hands.
The annual W.C. Handy Blues & Barbecue Festival will be held in Audubon Mill Park along the Henderson Riverfront on June 12-15. Organizers for the free music festival are seeking volunteers to help make sure the event goes off without a hitch.
Without our community’s support, Pittsburg Tank & Tower Group would never be celebrating its 100th anniversary. Our community supports us, and we want to continue to support our community. So, PTTG has become a Handy Fest sponsor and is asking its employees to volunteer at the event.
Volunteers are needed to sell raffle and half pot tickets, to take surveys, and to work the Java Shake Booth. The majority of the time slots are a two-hour shift, though there are three- and four-hour shifts as well. People who volunteer for four or more hours will receive a Handy Volunteer T-shirt.
